The LitterMaid LM900 probably is the most popular self cleaning cat litter box from LitterMaid series. The litter box is perfect for people who has large cat or has multiple cats. While maintaining the litter to keep fresh, this large cat litter box is able to get rid of almost all of odors. It is made of hard plastic and measures 29 inches long, 8-7/8 inches high, and 16-3/4 inches wide.
When your cat has finished to use the box, a certain censor will be triggeredand a 10 minutes count off timer will starts, after that a rake will sweep the litter, moving out the solid waste and place it in a plastic compartment at end’s of the box. A durable carpet ramp is integrated to guide your cat into the self cleaning litter box and cleans its paws on the way out. When an object gets in the way, for safety purpose, the rake will stop and reverses at really slight touch. If a cat enters the box before the early 10 minutes have elapsed, the timer will automatically resets.
For safety purpose, just with a little touch (if some object halts in the way) the rake will automatically stops and move reverses. The timer will reset it self if a cat suddenly use the kitty litter box self cleaning again before the initial 10 have elapsed. In order the machine to work appropriately, it does need premium clumping litter, although does not as much as a traditional kitty litter box of the same size. -You can line the waste container with a standart grocery bag and replace with new one when it becomes full. This will allow you to use fewer waste containers, and saves your money in the lon run.
-Cover a layer of cooking oil onto the litter box’s bottom part to reduce the litter stickiness before adding litter.
